LAP designs and builds custom inground pools — concrete, fiberglass and vinyl liner — with integrated spas, hot tubs, tanning ledges and water features. We also renovate tired pools and repair pool equipment. Because we are a hardscape and landscape crew first, the deck, the retaining walls, the drainage, the lighting and the lawn are drawn and built with the pool, by the same people. Bilingual service across Troutman, Mooresville, Statesville, Cornelius, Huntersville, Davidson and Denver.

Most homeowners have never built a pool, so here is the honest version. Design is the half that decides whether you like the result: where the pool can physically go, what shape and depth suit the way your family will actually swim, which materials hold up, where the equipment sits so it is quiet and serviceable, and how water leaves the yard afterward. Construction is the half that decides whether it lasts: base, steel, plumbing, shell, bonding, decking.
A pool is also the biggest piece of hardscape a house will ever get. Treated as a standalone box of water it leaves you with bare clay, a torn-up lawn and a drainage problem. That is why we draw the pool and the yard on the same plan and quote them together.
Concrete (gunite) when the design calls for a shape or depth nothing off the shelf can match. Fiberglass when the family wants to swim sooner. Vinyl liner when the budget leads. Every one of them can carry a spa, a tanning ledge and a water feature.
Pool types and features we design and build: gunite with an integrated spa, fiberglass with a tanning ledge, freeform with a stone waterfall on grade, and pool lighting for after dark.
If the shell is sound, a renovation is usually the fastest way to make a backyard usable again. We resurface, replace liners, reset coping and waterline tile, upgrade old equipment, replace failing decks, and add the spa, lighting or water feature the pool never had.
A pump that won't prime, a heater that trips, a salt cell reading low, a water level that keeps dropping. We diagnose and repair pool equipment, and we tell you straight whether a part is worth fixing or replacing.
We work on Hayward, Pentair and Jandy systems. Repairs and equipment upgrades are what we do here — we do not run weekly cleaning routes.
Most pool companies stop at the water’s edge. What they leave behind is bare clay, a wrecked lawn, no deck, nowhere for the water to go, and a second contractor to hire. LAP is a hardscape and landscape crew that builds pools, so everything below is drawn on the same plan, quoted once, and built by the same people who dug the hole.
Tumbled travertine and natural stone, mortar-set on a proper base and sealed for pool water. Cool underfoot in August.
The lounging space, the steps and the walls that hold a sloped yard back off the pool — compacted base, edge restraint, no settling.
French drains, channel drains at the deck edge and final grading, so storm water leaves the pool area instead of pooling against the house.
Low-voltage LED on the path, the steps and the trees, wired while the deck is still open. A pool you can actually use after dark.
Excavation tears up a yard. We regrade it, repair the irrigation we crossed, and lay fresh sod so the job ends with a lawn, not a scar.
Everything above is bid with the pool and scheduled in the right order — deck before lighting, grading before sod. Bilingual English and Spanish from the first walk-through to the last inspection.

Ask Us Anything →Design comes first: we walk the property, find where a pool actually fits, and draw the shape, depth, deck, equipment and drainage together. You get one written quote for the whole backyard. Construction then covers layout and excavation, steel and plumbing, the shell, the equipment set, electrical bonding, decking, start-up and the hand-off. LAP pulls the permits and schedules the inspections.
Concrete (gunite) is fully custom in shape and depth and the most durable, at a higher price and a longer build. Fiberglass installs fastest and needs the fewest chemicals, but shapes are limited to the manufacturer's molds. Vinyl liner is the lowest up-front cost with a liner replacement roughly every 8 to 12 years. We recommend one after seeing your yard and hearing how you plan to use the pool.
Yes. An integrated spa raised above the waterline, spilling back into the pool, is one of the most requested features we build. We also set standalone hot tubs on a proper pad with the electrical run and the deck built around them, and we add tanning ledges, sun shelves, bubblers, waterfalls and sheer descents during the same build.
Fiberglass builds are typically swim-ready in a few weeks once permits clear; a concrete pool usually runs a few months, depending on the deck, walls and landscaping around it. Permitting in our counties normally adds four to six weeks. Fall and winter are the best time to start, because the pool is finished before the first hot weekend. Your site walk sets the real schedule.
Yes, and it is normal here. Lots around Troutman, Mooresville, Statesville, Denver and the Lake Norman area often have grade, trees or a septic field to plan around. Retaining walls, cut-and-fill grading and drainage are work LAP already does every week, so they are designed into the pool instead of handed to another contractor.
LAP pulls the required county permits and schedules the inspections. We are licensed and insured for every project we take on, and the same crew that quotes the job is the crew that builds it.
Pumps and motors, filters, heaters and heat pumps, salt chlorine generators and cells, automation and timers, pool lights, plumbing and valves, and leak detection. We work on Hayward, Pentair and Jandy systems and will tell you plainly whether a part is worth repairing or replacing. Repairs are what we do; we do not sell weekly cleaning routes.
Yes. Resurfacing, vinyl liner replacement, new coping and waterline tile, equipment upgrades to variable-speed pumps or salt, new decking, and adding a spa, lighting or water feature to a pool that is otherwise sound. A renovation is often the fastest way to make an older backyard usable again.
